LIFE GROUPS @ Mt. Hope
We believe that being in study and fellowship with others who are on the same Christian journey is what sustains our faith. We offer various opportunities for you to grow in your faith. See below and join a group. You don't need to know anything about the Christian faith to be part of these studies. Just show up and enjoy the company of other Christians who are learning together.

The Belonging Bible Study Group for women:

Learn from the fierce women of God who changed the world.
The w
ord fierce is trendy. It is used to describe women who are extreme athletes, high-level executives, or supermodels. Women at the top of their game. But what about the rest of us? Can we be fierce? Absolutely! In fact, women like us have been changing the world for thousands of years—many who received little fanfare yet lived fiercely anyway. In this six-week study we will look at lesser-known female characters in the Bible and the ways they changed the world by living into God’s calling.

Kicked off  on Wednesday, January 25th.  We will meet every other Wednesday:
Dates: 1/25; 2/8; 2/22; 3/8; 3/22; & 4/5

Monday Night Bible Study:

Rediscovering the Power of Scripture … Join us for a bi-weekly Bible study starting Monday, 2/6, at 7:00 PM in the lounge. We will be working through the Study called "Making Sense of the Bible," led by Pastor Johnson.

GROUP DISCUSSION and BIBLE STUDY-
SEEING GRAY IN A WORLD OF BLACK AND WHITE
Are you interested in joining a group of persons of faith who desire to have thoughtful conversations on moral, religious, and political issues in a safe environment? If yes, this group will utilize a book entitled Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White by Adam Hamilton. Many times, attitudes, behaviors, and generalizations such as judging others, condemning people of other faiths, cultures, races, and injecting politics into faith push people away from Christianity. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe environment to explore and grapple with difficult issues and discussions and to stretch your mind and heart.
The group will be led by Jan and Mark Rodgers on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Habbersett Hall. The initial required orientation is scheduled for Tuesday February 21st, 2023.  Subsequent meetings will be held on March 14th and March 28th, 2023; April 11th and April 25th, 2023; and concluding on May 9th, 2023.  Commitment to all six meetings is encouraged.
