Dear Church Family,
ASH WEDNESDAY – This is an important day in the Christian Calendar. This day means a start of Lent. On Ash Wednesday, we begin our journey with Jesus, reflecting on His actions and teachings as He heads towards the cross.
On this day we recognize our human frailty and mortality. During the service declare together: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” When these words are declared, a Pastor places a sign of the cross on your forehead.
Due to the pandemic, the Pastors are unable to impose ashes on your forehead. So we are making the ashes available for you after church on Sunday, 2/14, at noon. You may also call the church office after Sunday, 2/14, to pick up your ashes. On Ash Wednesday you can impose ashes with a sign of the cross on your forehead.
Our Ash Wednesday Services will be held on February 17th at 12 Noon in-person and 7:00 PM in-person and live stream.
Blessings,
Pastor Johnson
